CanHost will being doing a network upgrade, Friday, July 25, 2008 from 4 pm to 9 pm PDT. There will be some sort term outages.  Each outage will last less than 5 minutes. Thank you for your patience.

SPAM Policy Update

Canhost to Fortify SPAM defense Policy!!!

 

Currently our Fortigate system in conjunction with SPAM Assasin tags then allows users to specify their handeling of tagged SPAM. coming into effect August 1, 2008 We will be disposing of the deffinate unsolicited mail at the Fortigate firewall. This will provide an estimated %40 - %60 decrease in clients handeling SPAM. Currently %84 of email

traffic is tagged as unwanted email. For clients that need to recieve emails that are currently being tagged as SPAM we will configure a new server  to meet their needs and continue their current level of service. These customers will be migrated as soon as the system is available.

Canhost renews fortinet subscription

Canhost renewed software contract with fortinet continuing to provide reliable intrusion protection, virus scanning and spam tagging to their clients free of charge.

Clayton Gardner states. .We feel with the continued increase in web threats facing today.s internet users firewall security is a must and should be imbedded in any hosting package.. Gardner also says the $60,000 hardware investment and yearly $15000 software subscription is a small investment to provide Canhost and I-Guru client.s piece of mind.

Support would like to remind their clients this does not replace the need for maintaining up-to-date anti-virus software on your personal systems or servers.

W.O.L.F V Hosted by Rackster

Rackster will be hosting our own W.O.L.F LAN Party for you right in our datacenter.

This will start at 10am Saturday, July 12th until we get tired and go home, and 10am to 10pm Sunday, July 13th. Strategy and FPS games will abound during this awesome event.
